Faster apps and a tidier sidebar

Hi, it’s David. We shipped a lot since the last update. Here are the highlights.
Public apps got much faster

Every public app and website you publish on Bento is now served from a global CDN. Visitors get a copy from a server near them instead of waiting on your workspace. In our tests, a page that took about a second to start loading now starts in about 0.15 seconds. You don’t have to change anything. Every public app and custom domain got faster on its own.
Your edits still go live automatically. Visitors see a change within about a minute, and the preview inside Bento always shows your latest version. Making an app private takes effect right away.
One tip: public apps now have their own public address. If you shared a link to a public app before this week, use Copy public link in the app’s menu to get the new one. Old links still work, but only the new address is fast. Custom domains need no change.
Pin chats and agents

Keep the chats and agents you use most at the top of the sidebar. Open the menu next to any chat or agent and choose Pin chat or Pin agent. Pins are shared across your workspace, so the whole team sees the same pinned list. Pinned chats stay in the sidebar however old they get.
Bring Bento to your other AI agents

Already use Claude Code, Codex, or another AI agent? It can now set Bento up for you. Go to Integrations → Other AI agents, copy the prompt, and paste it into your agent. It installs Bento, signs you in, and can then work with your Bento files, chats, apps, and models. The sign-in page has the same option under Onboard agents.
Also new
- Keep typing while a message sends. Your message leaves the chat box right away, so you can send the next one. Messages arrive in the order you sent them.
- The chat box is ready when you open a chat. Start typing straight away.
- Sandboxes for heavy jobs. Your agent can rent a temporary Linux machine for big builds and long-running work, and copy files in and out of it. It’s paid from your workspace budget and shuts down when its time is up.
- Restart a stuck app. Ask your agent to restart an app, and it comes back with the same settings.
- Lower costs in long chats. Bento now switches models only when the switch won’t throw away work it has already cached.
- A simpler sign-in page. Every way to sign in fits on one screen.
- Quicker setup. Picking agents during onboarding is now optional.
- New drawings. Bento’s illustrations now star the Bento mascot, like the one at the top.
